The Federal HIV AIDS Prevention and control office conducted a joint performance review meeting of the 3rd quarter of the 2002 Ethiopian fiscal year and plan action for the year 2003 with all partners and stakeholders in Adama from 9-11 June 2010.
The meeting was opened by Dr. Betru Tekle, Director General of Federal HAPCO. In his speech, Dr Betru urged that all actors working on HIV and AIDS in general, and regions and implementing partners in particular should scale up their efforts in order to meet Ethiopia’s universal access targets at the end of 2010 with special emphasis on the programs that are lagging behind (ie: PMTCT, Mainsteaming, etc…)

Federal HAPCO published the monthly update on ART in Ethiopia, "HIV Care and ART Update as of end of Tir 2002 EFY (as of February 9, 2010)”. The update lists ART uptake by site and number of new enrolled patients in Ethiopia as of the above mentioned dates. ART Tir 2000 EFY (as of February 2010) |

25 March 2010 – Addis Ababa :-Kenyan delegates arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a study tour on HIV governance and coordination.Delegate members include the Director, Chairman and several board members of the Kenya National AIDS Control Council (NACC) as well as representatives from faith-based organizations, People living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) and Parliament.
The purpose of the study tour is to learn from Ethiopia’s experience in instituting a robust and well established national body that coordinates the multisectoral national responses to HIV and AIDS.
