| Religious Leaders Renew Their Commitments |

Stand in Unison to Fight the Pandemic! A consultative workshop with the religious leaders aimed at scaling-up community conversation program among their followers was conducted in Adama, at Dire International Hotel, from January 14-16, 2010. They all reiterated that they shall work hand in hand to mitigate the impact of the virus which is a big threat to humanity and there by posing a danger to the development of the country. They said the fundamental teachings of their faiths are human centered and HIV/AIDS has become an unprecedented threat to humanity; and fighting it back would mean fulfilling their tasks. At the end of the workshop, all religious leaders expressed their readiness and vowed to stand in unison to fight against HIV/AIDS more actively than ever. |
